About In-Demand Kitchen Designs

Two of the most in-demand kitchens designs today are contemporary and traditional Shaker designs.

Traditional styles tend to have beading on the door, hinges on the outside with traditional style handles – (so door knobs instead of cup handles or long modern handles). These are the key features of a traditional shaker kitchen – these can be seen in the gallery page of this website  – the first kitchen ‘Edwardian Shaker Grey Kitchen the galleries page at https://www.shaker4less.com

Edwardian Shaker Grey Kitchen

You will also see the ‘shaker-kitchen-with-island’, the traditional shaker kitchen often referred to as a ‘true’ shaker style kitchen.

The Modern Shaker kitchen is also very popular with new home buyers.  They have soft closing hinges on the inside of the door, are painted in grey colours, and have modern handles (like cup handles). This is also in the gallery page and is  named ‘shaker-kitchen-dark-copper-butler-sink’ (the dark navy with the copper accessories). Grey colours are an extremely popular  trend today. Accessories in copper, such as dish racks and taps, add an exquisite finish to this high quality kitchen design. Dark grey works well if it is offset with a light colour on painted walls, light coloured cabinets or flooring.

Two tone shaker kitchens are also really popular, where wall cabinets are finished in a light grey or white colour, with a darker colour on the island. Most  kitchens in the gallery page with two different colours in the kitchen, represents this look. Again, having multiple grey tones is extremely popular in this trend.
