A Thing Called Fashion

Restyling Project – The White Dress

Few months back, I had styled a plain white dress from The Label Life on my blog. If you haven’t seen this particular post, you can click on the hyperlink here. In the earlier post, I had styled the dress with a brocade shrug that was tailor made. With a pair of brogues and different anklet, I tried to give it a bohemian vibe.

Restyling and recreating is all about being creativity. I have noticed people who take pride in saying that they don’t repeat their clothes but I find that foolish and unnecessary. Experimenting with the clothes you already have in your wardrobe is not only fun but supremely pocket friendly. You will be astonished to know about the number of ways in which you can style a single outfit. Instead of continuously spending your money on fast fashion, try investing on something ethical and learn how to restyle it smartly. You will be surprised!

I don’t think I have seen any blogger (except for few) restyle their already worn outfits, so I have decided to take this challenge and restyle this dress. Also, every month you will find atleast one post that concentrates only on restyling and recreating trends with the already worn outfits. If you follow me since the beginning, you would have noticed a lot of skirts and shrugs that I have restyled divergently. That’s the key to a new beginning my friend!

Coming back to the post, this time I decided to keep the outfit very simple. I had this wrap top with a peplum end lying in my closet and so was this white dress since that last shoot. Few weeks back when I was de-cluttering my wardrobe, I found these two and decided to pair these together to see how it goes. It’s a very simple every day wear outfit. I added a pop of colour with an orange lulu & sky bag and a pair of strappy sandals.

Would you want me to do more restyling posts?
