A Thing Called Fashion

Mellow Yellow

How much is too much yellow?

Do you remember the last time I wrote about how to restyle an outfit instead of just adding more clothes to your wardrobe? Do you also remember that I promised to work on atleast one post every month on restyling? Well, here I am with another restyling post for this month.

This time I am going to restyle this yellow tailor made shrug that I wore earlier in this post. I personally think, restyling an outerwear is a difficult task compared to restyling a top or bottom wear. An outer wear acts as a statement piece for most of the outfit and when you restyle the same piece, the outfit will unfortunately give the same touch as the earlier styling. So make sure you choose the right piece of outfit to restyle if you want to look different.

Shrugs or any other outer wear are my signature style statement and I have been obsessed with them since the beginning of its discovery. This precious silk shrug was tailor made for my cousin’s wedding and since then it has been lying in my wardrobe waiting to be worn again. That is when I worked on The Banjaran post and after a year, again restyling the same beauty today. I am sure you wouldn’t have realised that I was restyling the same shrug again since I tried to make it look like a co-ord set rather than an individual piece of clothing mix and matched together. Not to forget those satin ankle boots from Zara that I unknowingly restyled too. The cotton white top that I paired with them was a great find from the streets of Sarojini. I am so glad that I took out time to visit this magical place in my recent trip to Delhi and found such amazing stuff. Also, You can never have enough white shirt. And if they are selling it to you at a dirt cheap rate, you buy it without thinking twice.
