A Thing Called Fashion

Hello Winter ! Featuring – Brass Tacks

Winter is here! I was all set with all my winter wear, just to realise that I live in Bangalore and rarely do you need fat sweaters. Light sweaters would do in Bangalore. Nights are always cooler in Bangalore these days.  If not sweaters, I decided to take out my boots to style it with this dress from Brass Tacks. All it takes is a little inspiration to get us excited about clothes again. Fashion bloggers around us, manage to take our favourite basics and neutral colour and make them feel exclusive.

There was a time when during winters on a Sunday, we would sit outside in the garden to get soaked in the sun. It’s always fun to play with the sun during winters.  This was one of those days. Even though Bangalore doesn’t have winters like the Northern part of India, we can still bring out the winter style here. What say? You have landed on a page which you will find resourceful for a stylish outfit to wear this December in Bangalore kind of weather. Neutrals like black, grey, brown reign supreme during winters and it’s also a great time to rock a dress with boots this weekend or for a brunch.

Before I get into the entire outfit details, let me introduce you Brass Tacks based in Bangalore and Chennai. Brass Tacks is a company that concentrates on every unique detailing of a garment. From fabric, fit to the tailoring quality. Everything! Their goal is to create stylish and comfortable clothes with clean, simple lines that allow the personality of the wearer to come through. As an effort to find new markets for traditional textile crafts and hand woven fabric, the design team at Brass Tacks works to re-articulate these fabrics in the form of contemporary styles with an urban context.
