A Thing Called Fashion

It Was All Yellow feat. Amydus

While I stick to being super lazy because of the gloomy weather that Bangalore has been treating us with for some time now, I just realized that I have a few pending posts and some outfit shoots to complete. But unfortunately, shooting for the outfit post outside on the street isn’t an option. The struggle that fashion blogger goes through to find a nice indoor location is real. I am not kidding! There are times when the restaurants or cafes promptly refuse or ask for a hefty amount. Sigh! So my weekends are basically gone in figuring out places and calling them up for permission.

On weekdays all I want to do is sleep and also wait for the weekend because what goes around comes around. On a daily basis, it’s always easier to grab a kurta to wear for work rather than trousers. For work, I always prefer kurtas because it’s super comfortable and easy to pair unlike a pair of trousers for which I would always have to stand in front of my wardrobe clueless for a while to decide which shirt to wear it with. Also if you are super lazy to doll up, lazy outfit details are the new trend. I swear! On a casual Sunday to a music festival, just “bohomize” your outfit.

In this post, I am back with another cold shoulder detail but this time it’s a kurta. I am a sucker for tribal jewelry. Anyone who knows me would nod their head to agree a million times. Haha! When I got this cold shoulder kurta from Amydus, I knew style it the bohemian way. I chose this yellow kurta to add some color to my feed and also my wardrobe. With some tribal jewelry, half bun and a quirky pair of trousers, it looked perfect. There are different ways of styling this beautiful yellow kurta in a non-conventional way. You can also style this kurta with ripped jeans and boots for a rugged look or pair it with shorts maybe. When I saw the kurta, all I can think about was this pair of quirky pants that was lying in my wardrobe for ages. I couldn’t find a better opportunity to flaunt this ensemble.

Taking into consideration the climate we live in, kurtas are an essential. Like I mentioned, it’s comfortable and also makes a fashion statement. You can style it in various ways every day for a distinctive look. All you got to do is mix and match!

  1. Trust me when I say that office wear has become another pajama styled outfit for me. And with this gloomy weather I know how difficult it is to shoot! I loved the dull orange kurta styled with a bright pair of pajama. Also, I can tell how much you like tribal pieces 😘
