A Thing Called Fashion

Men’s Fashion Trend from 2017 – Indian Wear Edit

This year I decided to concentrate on men’s wear too other than what I usually work on. Earlier this week I and Parinita worked on trending men’s western wear. If you haven’t checked it yet, click on the link.

Men’s traditional wear has been equally gravitating for two reasons, one for Virat Kholi’s wedding outfit and secondly for designers portraying their brilliant work on amazing influencers. All this while the colours that men’s wear would come up with was black and blues mostly. And now there no such discrimination in colour scheme for men’s wear. Like I mentioned in my earlier post, they are bravely experimenting with patterns, floral and velvet. We have virtually witnessed intrinsic embroidered Indian Wear by Manish Malhotra and even more elegant and sombre collection by Raghavendra Rathore.

From Cricketers to most of our Indian celebrities have been styled so impeccably by amazing designers, inspiring men all over to explore more. Frankly speaking, I think the viral #Virushka wedding pictures of both Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma took the internet by storm with their outfits. From his Bandh Gala attire to Sabyasachi’s cream embroidered sherwani was my favourite. Rohit Bal’s floral prints and dhoti pants are also exemplary. It’s amazing to see how men effortlessly carry floral and pastel outfits. Kolhapuris and Mojris are the best footwear when it comes to men’s traditional or Indian wear. I love the combination of Kurta, Jean and Kolhapuris and I were to style a man, this would be it.

Which one is your personal favourite?
