What you see is what you buy ! ( Jo Dikhta hain Woh Bikhta hain) !! Being a part of a fast moving city, it’s sometimes difficult to realize what’s right and what’s wrong. But most of the time, what you see is completely different in real. From TV commercials to the guy at the bar. I will put it this way, we get lured by the commercials or a celebrity endorsement and head to the store to try it. It might vary from person to person and product to product. Some of us feel disappointed, because it doesn’t turn out to be what we expected or thought would be ! Fashion is something that changes every season and we too change our wardrobe accordingly but when it comes to skincare and beauty essentials, we don’t compromise. I for sure don’t !! I still use johnson baby lotion that I have been using since college, because it works well on my skin. Similarly Ayurvedic products always yield good result and never dashes your hopes. I had the opportunity to consult an ayurvedic doctor at the Kama Ayurveda store in VR Mall, Bangalore. I shared my thoughts about how none of the sunscreens worked on my skin. Sunscreen is an essential part of my life. Not only d0 I tan easily but it also becomes extremely difficult to get rid of the tan. For example, it’s been 3 months since my Varkala Trip, and  I still have the tan from the trip. The ayurvedic doctor heard me loud and clear and prescribed me three products, Eladi Ayurvedic face Cream, Kumkumadi Ayurvedic cream and Jwalini retexturizing skin treatment.

Have been using all the three products that I was prescribed since last two weeks and have noticed the results.

Eladi Hydrating Ayurvedic Face Cream

This nourishing Ayurvedic face cream made with a blend of pure ingredients, described in the ancient Ashtanga Hrudayam Ayurveda text as the ideal treatment for smooth, soft and clear skin. The herbs are processed in pure coconut milk and sesame oil. Costus and Cardamom are known for their Varneekarana properties – the ability to enhance skin texture. Costus is especially known for its soothing effect on skin. I do see the difference. Not only do I tan less but the cream has also brightened my face. Have been religiously using it on a daily basis. As they mentioned, it acts as a moisturizer and also a sunscreen, so the only thing that I apply is the cream.

Kumkumadi Brightening Face Scrub

I was totally impressed with this product when I tested it at the store. I could see the difference on my skin then and after. You can trust the product blindly. The Kumkumadi Face Scrub does illuminate your skin and helps you from tanning. So basically the face cream and the face scrub are like partners in crime. For effective results use both Eladi face cream and Kumkumadi face scrub together.

Jwalini Retexturizing Skin Treatment Oil

This product is prescribed in Ayurveda as a treatment for smooth, soft and clear skin. It also helps clear up skin irritation and itching. It is an excellent after-sun remedy. It is appropriate for the entire body, including the face.
Retexturizing Skin Treatment is formulated from natural herbs processed in pure coconut milk and sesame oil. The herbal ingredients, which include costus and cardamom, when used in tandem, are known for their Varneekarana properties – the ability to enhance skin texture. Costus is especially known for its remedial treatment of mild skin irritations. Appropriate for entire body or affected skin area.

Priced at 350 Rs. for 100ml.

Have used it once in three days, but haven’t noticed a drastic change in my skin texture like I did with the other two products. Might take more time to show its results. It is an after sun remedy to enhance the skin texture. Also reduces skin irritation. Most probably have to use it on daily basis like I have been using the other two and see the results. It has a typical ayurvedic oil fragrance which is pretty strong.
