A Thing Called Fashion

The Vitamin Sea Vibe

This was from my birthday trip to Karwar. I know I am late in posting this but blame it on the crazy work I had for a change. If you are a blogger and if you are traveling to a serene location for a holiday or otherwise, the first thing that comes to your mind is outfit ideas or posts. That is what happened during my trip to Karwar. I also spoke about my trip in my earlier post – On The Hunt for Colours.

The sea can cure anything. There is something about the salt water that always brings happiness. I am a hard core water lover and I am sure you would have understood that by now. The moment the water touches my feet, an eccentric power takes over my body. That feeling makes me assume that I can easily take over the world. The sea helps me get back to me. I am the happiest when I am surrounded by the sea.

Coming to the post – The first thing that comes to your mind when you head to a sea shore is either flowy clothes or comfortable casual ones. The humidity sometimes hits you hard and might worsen your mood if you don’t wear the right outfit. I have lived in Calcutta and was accustomed to the climate. While I was working in Calcutta, kurtas were the best option because of the climate. I had a field job and would have been exhausting to work in the city in formal wear. Hence, I knew what to carry with me while traveling to humid places. On my trip to Karwar, I made sure I packed few flowy outfits to be comfortable in and yet fashionable. This was one of them. I have two colors of the same skirt by the way! If I really like something, I get different colors of the same style. Call me crazy! *wink* *wink*

I can’t explain how comfortable this skirt is! That reminds me, I have styled this skirt in three different ways. Let me know if you would want me to do a post on that. Remember the time when I went crazy during the sale period, this top was from that sale. With the world going crazy with embroidery, I had to get my hands on one. The skirt glides. therefore it was easy for me to tie it like a dhoti.
